Humor

Humor is an art song for baritone voice and piano with an original text. The song’s narrative centers around a conversation between two male friends, in which one advises the other to use humor as a means of coping with past traumas.

It was premiered on May 5th, 2023, by baritone Alan Rendzak and pianist Mitchell Galligan for my undergraduate recital at Oberlin Conservatory.
